How to make a video slider in Elementor

Five steps, no code. The bold names are the labels in the Elementor panel.

  1. Install and activate Animation Addons for Elementor and Animation Addons Pro, and turn on Video Box Slider in the element list.

  2. Open your page in Elementor, search the panel for Video Box Slider and drag it onto the page.

  3. In Video Slides, add a slide for each video with its thumbnail, title, subtitle and video link.

  4. In Slider Options, set Slides to Show, Autoplay, Loop, Navigation Button and Pagination. In Button, turn on Active Ripple if you want it.

  5. Style the button, thumbnail and content in the Style tab, check tablet and mobile, and publish.

Questions about the Video Box Slider

How do I make a video slider in Elementor?

Add the Video Box Slider widget from Animation Addons Pro to the page, add a slide for each video in Video Slides, and set Slides to Show, Autoplay and Navigation in Slider Options. No code is needed.

What does each slide show?

A poster thumbnail, a title, a subtitle and a play button. A click on the button opens the video. You can change the title tag, the image resolution and the button style.

Can I make a YouTube video slider?

Yes. Each slide has a video link, and the play button opens it in a popup. The original demo page links its slides to YouTube embeds.

How do I add a ripple to the play button?

In the Button section, turn on Active Ripple and pick a Ripple Color. A soft ring then repeats around the button. Active Spinner is a second option.

Can I show three videos at once?

Yes. Set Slides to Show to 3 and use a lower value on tablets and phones. Space Between sets the gap between the slides.

Can the video slider play on its own?

Yes. Turn on Autoplay to move through the videos. Visitors can still use the arrows, the dots, swipe, or the mouse wheel when Mousewheel Button is on.

Can I centre the active video?

Yes. Turn on Center Slide. You can also show a thumbnail layer only on the active or hovered slide with Thumbnail After Button.

Can it work as a video testimonial slider?

Yes. Use a portrait as the poster, the customer name as the title and their role as the subtitle. The play button opens the testimonial film.

Is the Video Box Slider free?
