Post slider with overlay cards

Journal posts slide in pairs, with the active post in the middle and half a post on each side. A white card overlaps each photo and shows the category, a bold-start title and the author and date. Posts in the video format carry a play icon that opens the video.

In Slider Settings, set Slides to Show to 2, Autoplay delay to 3000 and Animation Speed to 500. Pick the overlay card design in Layout.

Features

Key features of Posts Slider

The four features from the original page, and the settings behind every design above.

Dynamic post display

Use it as an Elementor blog post slider that fills itself. The slider reads your posts from Query, so news and updates appear as you publish.

Custom query and filtering

In Query, pick the post source and filter by category, tag or author to control exactly what the post carousel shows.

Flexible layout and design

Choose a design in Layout, then set image size and alignment in Post Settings and Settings.

Smooth slider navigation

In Slider Settings, set the Elementor post slider autoplay with Autoplay, Autoplay delay, Loop and Animation Speed, and add Navigation arrows or Pagination.

Slides per screen size

Set Slides to Show and Space Between per device. The demos show two posts on desktop and one on phones.

Title highlight

Turn on Show Highlight to set the first words of each title in bold. Highlight Length sets how many words.

Taxonomy, meta and Read More

Show categories or tags in Taxonomy, author and date in Meta, a short Excerpt and a Read More link.

Video posts

Posts with the video format get a play icon. A click opens the video in a popup that grows from a thin line, as in the demos.

FAQ

Questions about Posts Slider

How do I add a post slider in Elementor?

Install Animation Addons Pro, turn on Posts Slider in Animation Addons → Elements and drag the widget onto your page. Pick the posts in Query and a design in Layout. No code and no Elementor Pro needed.

Is the Posts Slider widget free?

No. Posts Slider is part of Animation Addons Pro. The free plugin has Banner Posts, which shows three posts in a row without a slider, and Category Slider, which slides categories instead of posts.

Which Elementor post slider plugin do I need?

Animation Addons for Elementor with an Animation Addons Pro license. Posts Slider is one widget in that plugin, so there is no second Elementor post slider plugin to install.

Which posts can the slider show?

The posts from its Query. Choose the post source and filter by category, tag or author, so the slider can show recent posts, one category or a hand-picked set.

What is the panorama effect?

It turns the post slider into an Elementor panorama slider: a 3D effect that bends the slides on a curved wall. On the demo each slide turns 20 degrees from the next and sits 250 px deep.

Can I make an Elementor post slider with video?

Yes. Posts with the video format show a play icon that opens the video in a popup. The video gallery layout adds a large player that follows the slider.

Can I add arrows and pagination?

Yes. Turn on Navigation for arrows and Pagination for indicators, then style them in Slider Navigation and Slider Pagination. The demos use autoplay only.

How is it different from Elementor Loop Carousel?

Loop Carousel is an Elementor Pro widget that slides a card you design as a template. Posts Slider has ready layouts, a panorama effect and a video gallery, and works with Elementor Free.

Does Posts Slider need Elementor Pro?

No. It works with the free Elementor plugin. You need Animation Addons for Elementor with an Animation Addons Pro license.

Does it work in Elementor 4?

Yes. It is a classic widget, so Elementor 4 lists it with the legacy widgets and it works on the same page as atomic elements.
