Features

What you get with the Social Share.

Every option below is a real control in the Social Share panel or part of how the element renders. Nothing here needs custom code.

One template, every post

Leave Shared Link empty and each button builds its share link on the server from the page it is on. Pinterest also receives the post's featured image.

Point every share to one page

Fill Shared Link to share a fixed URL, such as a campaign landing page, from anywhere.

Any service with a custom link

Custom / None lets you write the link yourself. ${u} becomes the current page URL and ${t} its title, which covers WhatsApp, Telegram, email and anything else with a share URL.

Open, editable items

The row drops in with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn items. Duplicate, reorder, restyle or delete them, and add a label, divider or image inside the row.

Icon and label as separate elements

Each item holds an Icon and a Title. Swap in your own SVG or change the wording per network.

Pulse on Hover

A CSS ring expands from the item on hover and on keyboard focus.

FAQ

Questions about the Social Share

How do I add social share buttons in Elementor without Elementor Pro?

Install the free Animation Addons for Elementor plugin and drag the Social Share element into your single post template. Choose a Social Network on each item and leave Shared Link empty. On the live site, each button shares the post it appears on with that post's URL and title. Elementor Pro is not needed.

Which networks does the Animation Addons Social Share support?

The Animation Addons Social Share builds share links automatically for Facebook, Twitter / X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Tumblr and Blogger. Instagram is in the list but has no web share link, so that item simply links to Instagram. WhatsApp, Telegram, email and other services work through Custom / None with the ${u} and ${t} tokens.

Why does Facebook show the wrong image when I share a post?

Facebook and LinkedIn build the preview from the page's Open Graph tags, not from the share button. The Animation Addons Social Share sends only the page address, so set the post's og:image with your SEO plugin and refresh it in Facebook's Sharing Debugger. Pinterest is different: the button sends the post's featured image.

Does the Social Share show share counts?

No. The Animation Addons Social Share renders plain share links and does not count or display shares or views. Nothing is tracked and no third-party script loads. If you need counts, use the analytics in your social or site statistics tools rather than numbers on the button.

Are icon-only share buttons accessible?

Each Animation Addons Social Share button is a real link that works with the keyboard, and the share row is announced as a list. A button's accessible name comes from its Title text, so keep a Title on every button. For an icon-only design, give the item an aria-label such as "Share on LinkedIn" instead.

Do share buttons slow down my page?

No. The Animation Addons Social Share builds share links on the server, loads no script, no tracking and no third-party widget, and adds one small stylesheet for Pulse on Hover. The links are normal HTML, so they work before any JavaScript loads and on mobile browsers.

Can the share buttons share a different URL than the current page?

Yes. Fill the Shared Link field on an Animation Addons Social Share item and that item shares the link you entered instead of the current page. This suits events and launches where every share, from any page, should lead to one registration or landing page.
