Each video sits in a tall card, like the Elementor Instagram style stories visitors know from social media. A row of Elementor video cards makes a quick video showcase.
Hover preview
Move the mouse over a card and its video plays muted and on a loop. Move away and it pauses and rewinds to the start. This Elementor video hover preview lets visitors scan many clips fast.
Click to watch
A click restarts the video with sound and adds the browser controls. The text overlay fades out so the video fills the card.
One story at a time
Playing a new card pauses every other card, mutes it and removes its controls, so only one video makes noise.
Posts as the source
Pick the stories in Query, then show or hide the Title, Excerpt, Taxonomy and Meta of each video post.
Duration on every card
A play icon and the length of the clip, such as 0:38, are read from the video file and shown on the card.
Highlighted titles
The first words of each title can be set in a heavier weight, which gives every card a headline and a quieter second line.

Set the grid in Layout and shape the Video, Content, Title, Taxonomy and Meta in the Style tab. Card height and columns change per device, so an Elementor short video grid or a row of Elementor vertical video cards stays readable on a phone.
Step by step
How to add video stories in Elementor
Five steps. The bold names are the labels in the Elementor panel.
Install Animation Addons Pro, then turn on Video Story in Animation Addons → Elements.
Add your videos as Video Story posts, each with a category, a title and a video file.
In Elementor, search the panel for Video Story and drag it onto a page that uses the Full Width template.
In Query pick the stories, then use Layout and Settings to set the grid and what each card shows.
In the Style tab shape the Video, Title, Taxonomy and Meta, then preview and hover a card.

How to add video stories in Elementor?
Turn on the Video Story widget from Animation Addons Pro, add your video posts, then drag the widget onto a page and pick them in Query. Each video becomes a story card.
What does a visitor see on a story card?
A tall video with the category, title, author and date, plus a play icon and the duration. You can show or hide the title, excerpt, taxonomy and meta.
Do the videos play on hover?
Yes. The Elementor video play on hover effect runs muted and loops while the mouse is over the card. When the mouse leaves, it pauses and goes back to the start.
What happens when I click a card?
The video restarts with sound and the browser controls appear. The text overlay fades out, and any other card that was playing is paused and muted.
