What is Advanced Posts for Elementor?
Advanced Posts is a Pro Elementor posts widget from Animation Addons that lists your blog posts in one of five layouts. It pulls posts with a query, adds an optional category filter bar, shows the meta you choose (views, date, author), highlights the first words of each title, and pages through results with numbers, a Load More button or infinite scroll.
It is a classic widget for the Elementor 3 editor that keeps working in Elementor 4, and it does not need Elementor Pro, so it works as an Elementor posts widget without Elementor Pro. Use the advanced posts widget for Elementor on a blog page, a home page or a category page. For a simpler free grid there is the Posts widget.

Key features of Advanced Posts
The features from the original page, each with the panel setting behind it.
Advanced query control
Choose from 12 Query Type options, pick the Source, and include or exclude by category, tag, author or Post Format.
Five layouts
Five Layout Type options give you an Elementor blog layout as a classic grid, an Elementor posts overlay layout or side-by-side cards, with Columns per screen size. Together they cover most of what an Elementor magazine layout needs.
Category filter bar
Turn on Enable Filter for an Elementor posts filter by category: readers switch between categories above the grid without a page reload. It makes a post grid with filter out of one widget.
Dynamic content display
New posts appear on their own. Set Posts Per Page, the order and the date range once.
Load more and infinite scroll
Pick numbered pages, a Load More button for an Elementor posts load more button, or Infinite Scroll for Elementor infinite scroll posts on long archives.
Title highlights and meta
Show Highlights bolds the first words of each title. Post Meta shows views, date and author, with an Author Avatar.
Video, audio and gallery posts
Posts with a video, audio or gallery format show a play button, a player or a gallery on the card, so Elementor video posts work in the same grid.
Customizable and responsive
Style the layout, thumbnail, title (normal and hover), taxonomy, meta and Read More button, with a Zoom In Hover Effect, on every screen size.

Questions about Advanced Posts
How do I show posts without Elementor Pro?
Add the Advanced Posts widget from Animation Addons Pro. It is an Elementor posts widget without Elementor Pro: it works with Elementor Free, pulls your posts with a query and shows them in one of five layouts.
Can readers filter posts by category?
Yes. Turn on Enable Filter and a row of category buttons appears above the grid. Picking one shows only the posts in that category, without a page reload.
Can I add Load More or infinite scroll to my posts?
Yes. In Pagination choose Numbers, Load More Button or Infinite Scroll. New posts fade up into the grid as they load.
What does Show Highlights do?
It makes the first words of each post title bold, so titles scan like a magazine. You set how many words are highlighted.
Can it show custom post types or video posts?
Yes. Set the Source to posts, pages or video stories, and include by post format to show only video, audio, gallery or image posts. Video posts get a play button.
Which layouts are included?
Five: normal (image above the text), overlay (text on the photo), aside (photo beside the text), a second overlay (a text box overlapping the photo) and a reversed aside.
Can I show views, date and author?
Yes. The Meta settings show post views, the publish date and the author, with an optional author avatar and your own separator.
Is this an Elementor post grid with filter?
Yes. The normal layout is a grid of three columns, and Enable Filter adds the category bar, so one widget gives you a post grid with filter and Load More.
Does it work in Elementor 4?
Yes. It is a classic widget, so Elementor 4 lists it with the legacy widgets and it works on the same page as atomic elements.
