Features

What you get with the Video.

Every option below is a real control in the Video panel or part of how the element renders. Nothing here needs custom code.

Six sources, one player

Pick any of the six under Source, paste a link or choose a file, and the same player wraps it.

Your controls, not the host's

Show Controls Bar adds play/pause, seek, time, mute and fullscreen in your site's style. Auto-hide While Playing clears it until the next mouse move, tap or key press.

Nothing from the host until play

Only the thumbnail and play button load with the page; the host's player is created on play. With Lazy Load Player on, autoplaying embeds wait until they scroll into view.

Thumbnails that match your brand

Auto-fetch Thumbnail pulls the cover from the host (external files use their first frame), or upload your own and darken it with Enable Overlay. Autoplay always starts muted and is skipped in the editor.

Privacy settings built in

Privacy-Enhanced Mode plays YouTube from YouTube's no-cookie domain. Do Not Track asks Vimeo not to track the session.

A play button you design

The Video Play Button is its own atomic element: swap the SVG icon, restyle it, add a Pulse Effect, and share one Class across every player.

FAQ

Questions about the Video

How do I embed a YouTube video in Elementor without slowing the page?

Use the free Animation Addons Video element and set Source to YouTube. The Animation Addons Video shows only a thumbnail and play button on load; the YouTube player is created when the visitor presses play. Its script and styles load only on pages that use it.

What does Privacy-Enhanced Mode do in the Elementor video player?

Privacy-Enhanced Mode in the Animation Addons Video plays YouTube from YouTube's no-cookie domain, and the player is only created on play. Auto-fetched thumbnails still come from YouTube's image server, so upload your own if that matters. It reduces what YouTube collects; it is not a substitute for your own consent and legal review.

Can I use a custom thumbnail for a YouTube or Vimeo video in Elementor?

Yes. In the Animation Addons Video element, open Thumbnail, keep Use Thumbnail on, turn off Auto-fetch Thumbnail and choose your own image. Add Enable Overlay with a dark Overlay Color so the play button stands out. The thumbnail stays until the visitor presses play, on every source the Animation Addons Video supports.

Does the Elementor video player work on phones?

Yes. The Animation Addons Video plays inline on iPhone and Android instead of jumping to fullscreen, and fullscreen falls back to the phone's own video fullscreen where needed. With Auto-hide While Playing on, a tap brings the controls bar back. Autoplay stays muted on phones, as browsers require, and the player keeps a 16:9 shape at any width.

Is the video player accessible?

The Animation Addons Video uses real, labelled buttons for play/pause, mute, fullscreen and the play button, so screen readers announce them and keyboards reach them; the controls bar shows whenever the player has focus. For visitors who prefer reduced motion, the play button pulse and the fade transitions on the thumbnail and controls are switched off.

Can search engines see my video?

The Animation Addons Video puts the thumbnail and controls in the page HTML, but builds the YouTube or Vimeo player only on play, so search engines see the thumbnail, not the embed. Add a transcript as plain text near the player and VideoObject schema from your SEO plugin, so Google and AI search tools understand what the video covers.

Can I hide the YouTube logo and related videos?

The Animation Addons Video hides as much of YouTube's interface as the embed allows and limits end-screen suggestions to the same channel. YouTube's logo watermark and its pause and end-screen overlays are enforced by YouTube itself, so no player can fully remove them. Use Hosted Video if you need a completely clean frame.
