Features

What you get with the Posts Grid.

Every option below is a real control in the Posts Grid panel or part of how the element renders. Nothing here needs custom code.

Ready the moment you drop it

The Posts Grid arrives showing your six latest posts in three columns. There is no card template to design first.

Show only what you need

Turn Show Date, Show Excerpt and Read More Button on or off, set Excerpt Length (words) from 5 to 100, and rename the Read More Text. Dates follow your WordPress date format.

Posts or pages, in your order

Set Post Type to Posts or Pages, Order By Date, Title or Random, Order and Posts Per Page from 1 to 24. Sticky posts are not pushed to the front.

Motion with no extra plugin

Cards fade and rise into place one after another as they enter the viewport, and lift on hover. The effect is built in; it does not load GSAP or need Animation Addons Pro.

Layout-stable, crawlable cards

Cards are rendered on the server, so titles, excerpts and links are in the page HTML. Images load lazily but carry their width and height, so the page does not jump; posts without a featured image show a placeholder.

Styled from your site colours

Title, link and date colours follow your Elementor global colours. Style the section wrapper with the Style tab and Classes.

Built on the atomic base

How the Posts Grid is built (atomic structure)

Why it mattersOne panel controls every card, so the whole section changes at once. The trade-off is a fixed card. If you need to move parts, add a category or build a different card, use the Loop Grid.

FAQ

Questions about the Posts Grid

How do I show recent blog posts in Elementor 4?

Install the free Animation Addons for Elementor plugin and drag the Posts element from the AAE Post category onto the page. The Animation Addons Posts Grid shows your six latest posts in three columns with image, title, excerpt and read-more link. Change the number of posts, columns and order in its settings panel.

Can I show blog posts in Elementor without Elementor Pro?

Yes. The Animation Addons Posts Grid runs on Elementor Free and shows posts or pages as a grid or list. Elementor's own Posts widget and Atomic Loop need Elementor Pro. For a custom card design, the free Animation Addons Loop Grid also works without Elementor Pro and supports any post type and pagination.

Can the posts grid show custom post types, categories or pagination?

No. The Animation Addons Posts Grid covers posts and pages, up to 24 per section, without pagination or a category filter. That keeps it simple. For custom post types, WooCommerce products, related posts, archives, category filters or Load More, use the free Animation Addons Loop Grid instead.

Can I display posts as a list instead of a grid?

Yes. Set the Posts Grid's Layout to List. Each post then shows its image on the left with the date, title and excerpt beside it. On phones the Animation Addons Posts Grid moves the image above the text automatically, so the list stays readable.

Does the posts grid animation slow down the page or hurt SEO?

No. The Posts Grid's reveal is a few lines of script and CSS, with no GSAP. Cards are rendered on the server, so search engines read every title, excerpt and link in the HTML, and if the script does not run the cards simply stay visible. Images load lazily with set dimensions to avoid layout shift.

Is the posts grid accessible?

Mostly. Each Animation Addons Posts Grid card has a real heading and a read-more link that includes the post title as hidden text, so screen readers know where it goes. The image link is skipped by the Tab key to avoid duplicate stops. The scroll reveal currently plays even when a visitor has reduced motion turned on.

Why does the random order not change on every visit?

Random order is chosen when the page is built. If your site uses page caching, the Animation Addons Posts Grid shows the same random posts to every visitor until the cache refreshes. Exclude that page from caching, or use Date order, if the selection must change on every visit.
