Custom Icon is an Animation Addons for Elementor extension that adds Elementor custom icons for free: you upload an icon-font zip exported from IcoMoon, and its icons appear as a new tab in Elementor's Icon Library, so any widget with an icon picker can use them. Each set can load site-wide or only where it is used.

Icon names and the IcoMoon prefix carry over, so search terms match your designer's setup.
The Active switch in the icon set list means "Load Icons Across the Site". Leave it off and the set's stylesheet loads only where Elementor uses one of its icons. Turn it on for sets used in a header or footer.
After unzipping, Animation Addons deletes every file that isn't an icon-font file, so a stray script in a zip never reaches your site. Only administrators can upload.
Step by step
Five steps from switching it on to publishing. The bold names are the exact labels you will see on screen.
Download freeIn IcoMoon, select your icons, open Font settings to set a unique class prefix, and download the font zip.
In wp-admin, switch on Custom Icon under the Extensions tab of the Animation Addon dashboard.
Open Animation Addon > Custom Icons, click Add New Icon, and give the set a title, such as "Northwind Icons".
Drop the zip on Drag files, wait for the success message, and publish.
In Elementor, open any widget's icon picker and choose your set's tab in the Icon Library.

Install Animation Addons for Elementor, switch on the Custom Icon extension, then upload an IcoMoon zip under Animation Addon > Custom Icons. The set appears as its own tab in Elementor's Icon Library, so any widget with an icon picker can use it. Elementor Pro is not required for Animation Addons Custom Icon.
Not at the moment. Animation Addons Custom Icon reads the selection.json file that IcoMoon puts in its export, and other zips report "Unsupported Icon File". If your icons are in Fontello, import the SVGs into IcoMoon and export from there, or use Elementor Pro's Custom Icons, which documents Fontello support.
Elementor 4 Atomic Elements, and Animation Addons' own atomic widgets, use SVG fields rather than the Icon Library, so a Custom Icon set is not offered there. Upload the single SVG instead. Animation Addons Custom Icon sets work in every Elementor widget that opens the Icon Library picker, such as Icon, Icon Box, Icon List and Social Icons.
Animation Addons Custom Icon lets you choose per set. With the Active switch off, the set's stylesheet loads only on pages where Elementor uses one of its icons. Turn it on only for sets that appear on every page, such as in a header. Keep each IcoMoon export to the icons you actually use.

Yes. Animation Addons Custom Icon unpacks the zip into your uploads folder and immediately deletes any file that is not an icon-font file, such as a PHP or HTML file. Only users who can manage site options (administrators) can upload, edit or delete icon sets.
