How Loop Filters connect to the Loop Grid (atomic structure)

Why it mattersThe free Loop Grid's Query sets the fixed base, and Loop Filters add what the visitor may change on top, from wherever the design puts them.

Step by step

How to add AJAX filters to a Loop Grid in Elementor 4

Six steps, from installing the plugin to publishing the page. The bold names are the exact labels you will see in the Elementor 4 panel.

Get Animation Addons Pro
  1. Install Animation Addons for Elementor and Animation Addons Pro, then open a page with the Atomic Editor on.

  2. Add a Loop Grid, choose its Source (Products, Posts or your post type) and design the Loop Item card.

  3. Drag the filters you need next to it, or apply one of the 24 presets and install anything it reports missing.

  4. In each filter, choose what it filters; with one grid on the page it targets that grid automatically.

FAQ

Questions about the Loop Filters

How do I add an AJAX filter to an Elementor loop grid?

Add the free Animation Addons Loop Grid to the page, then drag Loop Filters from Animation Addons Pro next to it, such as a Taxonomy Filter, Field Filter, Sort or Search. With one grid on the page, each filter targets it automatically, and the Loop Grid updates without reloading when visitors change a filter.

How do I make a WooCommerce product filter in Elementor 4?

Set the Animation Addons Loop Grid's Source to Products and add Loop Filters: a Taxonomy Filter for categories or attributes, a Field Filter for price, rating or stock, and a Sort menu. Loop Filters follow WooCommerce's catalog visibility and price rules and also read WooCommerce's own filter URLs, so existing shop links keep working.

Will Loop Filters slow down a large store?

Loop Filters run one WordPress query per filter change, and WordPress caches query results, so a persistent object cache helps. Option counts cost an extra query each, so they are opt-in per filter and switch off above 3,000 results rather than slowing the page. On big catalogues, enable counts only on the filters where shoppers need them.

Do filtered results have their own URL?

Yes. Every Loop Filters choice is written into the page URL, so visitors can bookmark or share a filtered view, and the back button returns to the previous filters. Opening that link renders the filtered Loop Grid on the server, so it works even before JavaScript loads.

Can Elementor filter posts by ACF fields?

Yes. The Loop Filters Field Filter reads ACF fields and other custom fields as a range, a list of choices or a toggle, and the Date Filter can read an ACF date field. Presets that depend on ACF fields or a custom post type list what they need, and Animation Addons Pro can install it.

Do Loop Filters work on mobile?

Yes. On phones, place Loop Filters inside the Filter Drawer, which holds them in a slide-in panel with Apply and Clear buttons, or in an Offcanvas panel when you need extra content around them. Every Loop Filters element takes per-breakpoint styles from the Style tab, so slider handles and checkboxes can grow for touch.

Do I need Elementor Pro to use Loop Filters?

No. Loop Filters are part of Animation Addons Pro and filter the free Animation Addons Loop Grid on Elementor Free. Elementor Pro is not required. WooCommerce and ACF are needed only if you filter products or ACF fields.
