Key features of the Counter Widget

Every feature below is a real setting in the widget panel. Nothing needs custom code.

Start and end numbers

Set the Starting Number and the Ending Number. Both accept dynamic tags, and decimals such as 4.9 are kept while it counts.

Prefix and suffix

Add a Number Prefix such as $ and a Number Suffix such as +, K or %. Style them apart from the number.

Animation speed

Choose the Animation Duration in milliseconds for the Elementor counter animation. The count starts once, when the number scrolls into view.

Thousand separator

Keep Thousand Separator on and pick a comma, dot, space, underline or apostrophe in Separator, or turn it off.

A title built in

Write the Title, such as Happy clients, and set Direction to show it below or beside the number.

Gap, line and alignment

Set the Gap, turn on the Separator line with its Color, and choose the Alignment.

Text stroke and shadow

Give the number a text stroke for outlined digits, or a text shadow, plus its own typography and colour.

Works with any entrance

Pair the counter with the Animation Addons scroll entrance, or a Pro text animation on the title, as in the demos.

How to add an animated counter in Elementor

Five steps, no code. The bold names are the labels in the Elementor panel.

  1. Install and activate Animation Addons for Elementor from WordPress.org, and turn on Counter under Widgets.

  2. Open your page in Elementor, search the panel for Counter and drag it onto the page.

  3. Set the Starting Number and Ending Number, then add a Number Prefix or Number Suffix and a Title.

  4. Choose the Animation Duration, the Thousand Separator, the Direction and the Gap.

  5. Style the number, suffix and title in the Style tab, check it on mobile and publish.

Questions about the Counter Widget

How do I add an animated number counter in Elementor?

Install the free Animation Addons plugin, drag the Counter widget onto your page and set the Starting Number and Ending Number. It counts up when visitors scroll to it, on Elementor Free.

Is this a free Elementor counter widget?

Yes. It is part of the free Animation Addons plugin on WordPress.org and works with Elementor Free and Elementor Pro.

Can I make an Elementor counter with decimals?

Yes. Type the Ending Number with decimals, such as 4.9 or 1.25, and the counter keeps that many decimal places while it counts.

How do I add an Elementor counter suffix like + or K?

Use Number Suffix for +, K, M or %, and Number Prefix for a symbol such as $. Their colour and font are set in the Suffix / Prefix style section.

Can the counter start from a number other than zero?

Yes. Set the Starting Number, for example 150, and it counts from there to the Ending Number.

Why is my Elementor counter not working?

The counter starts when the number scrolls into view and runs once, so reload the page to see it again. If it stays on one value, a cache or optimizer plugin that delays or combines scripts may be blocking it. Exclude the page from it and test again.

Does the counter start when it scrolls into view?

Yes. It waits until the number is in view and counts once, so visitors see the animation instead of a finished number.
