Posts Read Later

Make your visitors’ experience unforgettable with the ‘Post Read Later’ feature! Just follow a few simple steps to let your audience save their favorite posts and come back to them whenever they want, making your site more welcoming and easy to navigate. 

Requirement 

• Elementor (Page Builder) 
• Animations Addons (Our Plugin)  

Tip: Make sure Animation Addons is installed and activated on your WordPress site before you start. 

How To Activate Post Read Later 

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard. 
2. Click on Animation Addons. 
3. Head to the Widgets Tab.   
4. Under Dynamic, toggle on Post Read Later. 

• First, create two pages for the ‘Post Read Later’ feature. Then, open both pages in separate tabs and set up the functions one by one.

On one of the pages, click the ‘+’ icon, search for ‘Advanced Posts,’ and add it.

•  Next, go to the ‘Meta’ section, click on ‘Add Items’, and select ‘Read Later’ from the options. Once selected, the ‘Read Later’ option will appear on your website.

• Now, click the ‘Publish’ button.

• Then, from your live site, click on the ‘Read later’ option.

• Next, switch to the other page, click the ‘+’ icon again, and type ‘Post Read Later’. Once it appears, click on it.

• Finally, you will notice your saved post has appeared, which you have set to read later. In layout style settings, you will have two options to choose from. Such as Grid and Dropdown View.

• Grid will show your saved posts in a clean grid layout, just like a blog or portfolio.
• Dropdown has three options. The Open Icon appears before it opens, the Close Icon after it opens, the Dropdown Position controls where it appears, and Dropdown Icon lets you customize the trigger icon.

For example, I chose the ‘Grid’ option, but you can select whichever option you prefer.

You’ve successfully set up the Post Read Later feature. Now, your visitors can save posts they want to revisit and browse them anytime they like. Whether you went with the Grid layout or the Dropdown view, your site is now more organized and easier to explore.
